Shipshape offers lighting & engineering design and project coordination services for all phases of ship design and outfitting, thanks to a deep knowledge of production and installation processes of lighting appliances and systems for cruise ships combined with decades of architectural experience.
Merging interior and lighting design expertise will reduce the number of iterations between architects and lighting designers, therefore the coordination time and efforts on the owner side will be reduced.

The capability of evaluating and controlling costs across the different phases of the project through the study and management of the contractual documents, allows us to achieve the design intent and minimize the risk of over standards later in the process. Knowing the cruise ship lighting market allows us to evaluate yard’s proposals and propose alternative product with the aim of reducing costs as needed.
Our expertise will help ensuring that the design intent is maintained across project phases from concept to the final outfitting, and when multiple architects are involved in the project, will allow harmonizing the specifications of the lighting products without compromising on the design intent and facilitating future ship maintenance as needed.
We can assist in the coordination with the builder and the interior outfitters to integrate the lighting products in the electrical drawings and furniture details according to the shipboard systems (reducing potential contingencies). We will make sure that the above-mentioned details are implemented during the final outfitting on board.
We offer remote support during the outfitting phase and in-person surveys on board to support the owner’s site office team and shipyard/outfitters.
